Kindle Voyage Review
To get started with this Kindle Voyage Review, let us first take a look at Kindle Voyage Specs in an easy to understand tabular format. Later on we can get into details of the major specs. *Price may vary due to sales/offers.
Kindle Voyage Review – Size & Design
Kindle Voyage is a compact and sleek looking device with a sturdy magnesium infused plastic body. The back side of Kindle Voyage features lines and edges, similar to those found in Kindle Fire HD Tablet.
The magnesium infused body has made Kindle Voyage lighter than Kindle Paperwhite, which makes it easy to hold with one hand. The 6″ screen of Kindle Voyage is flush with the bezels, which makes it easy to clean. Another change in Kindle Voyage is the location of Power Button which is now located at the back of the device, in the top left corner of the device (11 AM position).
Kindle Voyage Review – Screen & Display
The screen of Kindle Voyage is made out of scratch resistant glass, which has been micro-etched, in order to diffuse light and reduce glare. Although, the display on Kindle Voyage is the same 300 PPI display as found in Kindle Paperwhite, it looks brighter and sharper than Kindle Paperwhite.
Kindle Voyage Review – Page Turns
Kindle Voyage supports two methods of turning pages, you can either flip pages using swipe gestures (Just like in Kindle Paperwhite) or press on the side bezels to turn pages. The second method is known as Page Press and page turning in this case is activated by two pressure sensitive haptic sensors placed on either sides of Kindle Voyage screen. As you can see in the image below, Kindle Voyage has page turning sensors located on its side bezels. Pressing on any of these sensors (left or right bezel) triggers a page turn.
Since, the sensors are placed on both sides of the screen, it makes it easy for both right and left handers to make use of Page Press to turn pages on Kindle Voyage. Although, the Page turning sensors look like buttons, they only provide the sensation of pressing a button to your fingers and do not actually move like real buttons.
Kindle Voyage Review – In-Built Lighting
In-built Lighting – 6 LEDs, Light Sensor
Kindle Voyage is equipped with a light sensor, capable of detecting light intensity in your surroundings and automatically adjusting the lighting level on its screen to an ideal brightness level.

Connectivity
You can buy Kindle Voyage in WiFi only or WiFi+Cellular versions. In the case of WiFi only models, you will be able to download books only when a WiFi network is present. In our opinion, you should be fine buying Kindle Voyage without Cellular support, unless you travel frequently.
