You may get an “Unusual Login Attempt” error the first time you try to log in on the apps listed in this article below. To remove this, simply open your account in the official Instagram app and tap “THIS WAS ME” or enter a security code sent to your phone or Email. That should take care of the problem.
- Unfollow everyone on Instagram: Android Unfollower for Instagram is a free Android app that lets you unfollow multiple accounts with a single tap. The app gives you two options to unfollow; users who follow you back and the ones who don’t. This makes it easy to filter out users who you know so you don’t have to squint to look at their tiny display picture. To unfollow the accounts you’ve followed, open the app and log in using your Instagram username and password. It works on Instagram’s official API which allows the app to remotely gain access to your followers’ list. After logging in, tap the red button next to every account or unfollow everyone by tapping the unfollow all button. The app is free and doesn’t have a limit on unfollowing, it has ads though, which won’t be a problem because you can just start the process and minimize the app and it would continue unfollowing people in the background.
Alternatively, if the above app goes down in the future, you can install Cleaner for Instagram or Insta mass unfollow, which essentially work the same way except for a few limitations. For example, Cleaner for Instagram lets you unfollow 50 users in the free version, Insta Mass unfollow only lets you unfollow top 20 users at once. 2. Unfollow everyone on Instagram: iOS Mass Unfollow for Instagram is a free app lets you unfollow users from your iPhone or iPad. Just log in with your Instagram credentials, go to the “Following” tab from the bottom, select all the users, and tap “Unfollow” under action. The only caveat with this app, you can unfollow only 100 users with the free app but you can remove the limit for $1.99.
Alternatively, you can use Cleaner for IG, if the first one stops working in the future. It only lets you unfollow 50 users in the free version and cost you $2.99 to upgrade. 3. Unfollow everyone on Instagram: Desktop Unlike the previous apps which require access to your account to unfollow pages at once, this Chrome extension can be a decent alternative. For starters, you don’t have to share your password and account details with the app and it can run in the background on your web browser. Install Auto Follower Chrome extension with this link on your Chrome web browser. Go to the Instagram website and browse to Profile and click “Following”. You’ll see a list of all the users you’ve followed. Now click on the Chrome Extension from the top and enter the appropriate values. Click Unfollow to begin. To avoid getting flagged by Instagram’s algorithm, keep the number of clicks at around 10 per interval, and set the interval between 20-60 seconds. These values will ensure you can safely unfollow everyone without getting your account blocked.
