Transfer WhatsApp Messages to Telegram
The easiest way to Transfer WhatsApp Messages to Telegram is to make use of “Export Chat” feature as available in WhatsApp. However, you need to be aware that the option to Transfer Chat to Telegram becomes available in WhatsApp, only if Telegram App is downloaded and installed on your Phone. It should also be mentioned that you can only transfer a single Chat at a time to Telegram, there is no option in WhatsApp to Transfer All Chats at once. When you transfer a Chat from WhatsApp, all Messages in the Chat (Entire Chat History) along with Photos and Videos (if selected) will be transferred to your Telegram Account.
1. Transfer WhatsApp Messages to Telegram on Android Phone
All that is required to Transfer Messages from WhatsApp to Telegram on an Android Phone or Tablet is to open the Chat and access “Export Chat” option as available in WhatsApp. Open WhatsApp > switch to Chats tab and select the Chat that you want to Transfer to Telegram.
On the next screen, tap on 3-dots menu icon and select More option in the drop-down menu.
On the next drop-down, select Export Chat option.
On the pop-up, select Without Media or Include Media option. On the next pop-up, select Telegram from the Share Menu.
On the next screen, you will be able to see the progress of all the Messages in the selected Chat being transferred to Telegram. After the Transfer process is completed, open Telegram and you will see that the Timestamp on the transferred Messages will be the same as it was in WhatsApp.
2. Transfer WhatsApp Messages to Telegram on iPhone
In case of iPhone, the Export Chat option can be found on Contact’s Info screen, which can be accessed by tapping on the Contact’s Name. Open WhatsApp and select the Chat that you want to export.
On the next screen, tap on the Name of the Chat or Contact.
On Contact Info screen, scroll down and select Export Chat option.
On the pop-up, select Attach Media or Without Media option. From the Sharing menu that appears, select Telegram option.
Telegram will start the process of transferring the entire Chat History to Telegram. Once the Transfer process is completed, open Telegram and you will notice that the Timestamp for all messages in the transferred Chat will be the same as it was in WhatsApp.
